Health Contradiction

Just a few nights ago I found myself face to face with one cop and five city health officials who were citing both the business and customers for smoking hookah. Let this be known that this took place at a hookah lounge. Due to complaints about smoke, they showed up to cite.

Who complains about smoke at a shisha lounge? Who would complain about alcohol at a bar? I understand that they’d cite us, the business, despite their citing being a direct infridgment on the agreement we had with the city as our court date planed. But let’s be rational now, citing customers for smoking what we served them? Does that make sense?

Then a day or so later I found myself starring at a Chelupa at Taco Bell. I heard just a few days prior from a reliable source that their beef is just as bad as McDonald’s.

It seems that there is a definite health Contradiction. One the one hand we have moved smoking out as best we could. Two notable towns that have taken this drastic initiative include Pasadena CA, and Fayetteville AR. On the other hand, our food quality is still going down the toilet. Even what we perceive to be ‘healthy’ isn’t. Fruits are applied with chemicals to make them taste bolder and appear brighter.

How about a little consistency?
